Meeting marks 20th anniversary of Vietnam Former Teachers' Association

The Former Teachers’ Association in Son La province on July 3 held a meeting to mark the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Former Teachers’ Association (July 3, 2004-2024), and the 11th anniversary of the provincial association (November 12, 2013-2024).

At the meeting held in Son La to mark the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Former Teachers’ Association.

Over the past two decades, the network of the Vietnam Former Teachers’ Association has been expanded to all of the 63 cities and provinces with 600,000 members. The association has launched various emulation movements and taken care of the spiritual and material life of its members.

Meanwhile, the provincial association gathers 4,820 members belonging to 115 branches in 11 districts and Son La city. The retired teachers have set examples and joined activities in their residential areas. More than 11% of them have joined all-level Party committees, public agencies, the Fatherland Front committees and organisations in residential areas. Each year, nearly 100% of the members’ families win the titles of “family of culture” and “family of learning.”

On this occasion, 630 members were granted with the insignia “For the cause of the Vietnam Former Teachers’ Association”./.

Outside in the fields, cooperative members diligently tend to rows of organic vegetables, as well as plum, grape, peach, and strawberry trees. Inside the processing workshop, modern machinery operates day and night, producing delicious batches of dried fruit.
