Representatives from the Vietnam Motorsports Federation (VMF), along with leaders of several provincial departments, localities and businesses, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the VMF presented the tournament organisation plan, saying with the aim of staging a professional, large-scale event combined with tourism promotion, the federation has developed a proposal to host the race on the Moc Chau Plateau. Following site surveys, Moc Chau Island tourist area has been proposed as the main venue for the race and related organisational and logistical activities.
The tournament is expected to attract 20–30 teams from countries and territories around the world and is slated to take place in mid-May 2026. The event will also feature a range of side activities aimed at promoting the race and showcasing the image of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
Participants discussed arrangements for the event, including infrastructure, track design, funding, logistics, public order and security, fire prevention and rescue, medical services, communications and promotion, as well as side activities.

Concluding the meeting, Chien welcomed the VMF’s selection of the Moc Chau plateau as the proposed venue, saying it would help promote Son La’s tourism image. He also asked the federation to develop detailed plans and scenarios, and requested relevant departments and agencies to work closely with the organiser to align on key issues, particularly funding, for submission to the provincial People’s Committee for review and decision-making.
