Muong La summarises implementation of Politburo directive, 79-day substandard house elimination campaign

The Muong La district Party Committee on May 6 held a conference to summarise 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, as well as to review a 79-day emulation campaign entitled “Joining Hands to Eliminate Makeshift and Dilapidated Houses.”

In implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, the district Party Committee developed and carried out an action programme following Uncle Ho’s example, closely linked with patriotic emulation movements launched by authorities at all levels, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations.

Over the past 10 years, one individual was honoured with a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister; 27 collectives and individuals received certificates of merit from the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and the Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee. Muong La district also commended 281 collectives and individuals for outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.

The 2025 emulation campaign for substandard housing elimination in Muong La received strong engagement from the entire political system. The district reached its goal 15 days ahead of schedule, successfully supporting the construction of 394 new houses and the repair of 20 others for local residents, with a total cost of over 28.5 billion VND (1.1 million USD).

On this occasion, the district Party Committee’s Standing Board and the district People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to six collectives and nine individuals for their achievements in implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, and to nine collectives and 24 individuals for their contributions to the substandard housing elimination campaign.
