Nguyen Dinh Viet appointed Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s Economic Committee, has been appointed Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term.

At a conference hosted by the provincial Party Committee on November 5, deputy head of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Organisation Commission Phan Thang An announced Decision No. 1640-QDNS/TW, dated October 30, 2024, by the PCC’s Secretariat, assigning Viet to join the Party Committee of Son La province and its Standing Board.

In his remarks, An commended Viet on his new assignment, encouraging him to continue demonstrating his mettle, intellect, experience, and capacity. He urged Viet to swiftly adapt to his new responsibilities, build on the achievements of his predecessors, and fulfill his duties effectively.

For his part, Viet expressed deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, the NA, and the Organisation Commission for entrusting him with this important role. He committed to continuously learning, diligently working, quickly grasping the reality of the province, staying engaged with the grassroots, building on the province’s successes, and collaborating closely with the leadership of the provincial Party Committee and its Standing Board to foster solidarity and unity, and achieve the objectives set in the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the provincial Party Congress.

Also at the conference, the Organisation Committee representative announced the Secretariat’s decisions appointing Nguyen Duc Thanh, a member of the provincial Party Committee and head of its Organisation Board, to the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Chief Justice of the provincial People's Court Nguyen Minh Hai, and Colonel Chu Van Thanh, Commander of the provincial Military Command to the provincial Party Committee for the same term.
