Party Organisation of provincial Party agencies launches tree planting festival

The Party Organisation of the provincial Party agencies held a ceremony on February 23 to launch the tree planting festival for the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026.

Attending the event were Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Permanent Vice President of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Viet Cuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Le Tien Quan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies.

At the ceremony, leaders, officials and Party members from Party cells and organisations under the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies planted trees on the campus of the provincial School of Politics. The activity reaffirms the vital role of environmental protection in tandem with socio-economic development. It also helps create a vibrant emulation atmosphere, demonstrating strong determination to successfully fulfill assigned tasks from the very first months of 2026.

    Son La province has 14 martyrs cemeteries, seven of which contain 579 graves of fallen soldiers whose identities have yet to be determined. As part of the “500-day-and-night campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains,” the province has completed DNA sampling for identification purposes at all seven cemeteries.
