Petrolimex supports eradication of temporary housing in Son La province

Son La province held a ceremony on November 18 to receive financial support from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) for the programme to do away with temporary housing in the province.

Attending the event were Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Red Cross Society of the province; and representatives of Petrolimex.

At the programme, Petrolimex donated 6 billion VND (227,470 USD) through the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support the construction of 100 houses for poor households facing housing difficulties, and presented 600 clean water purifiers to 600 households in the province.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee expressed sincere gratitude for the attention, assistance, and support of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

This contribution is an important resource that helps stabilise the lives of households facing housing difficulties, he affirmed, adding that Son La is committed to using the funding effectively, publicly, transparently, and for the right beneficiaries.
