At the meeting reviewing preparations for the Exhibition on National Achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day in Hanoi.

In line with the national plan to organise the exhibition, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively proposed tasks and budget estimates to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The department has also submitted a plan to the provincial People's Committee for organising an exhibition on the province's socio-economic achievements, directed its affiliated units and specialised departments to implement preparatory work, and developed exhibition content, display mockups, and construction plans to seek feedback from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for two times.

A leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reports on the progress and presents the exhibition concept during the meeting.

With the theme “Son La – Historical Legacy, Cultural Colours, and Aspiration for Development,” the department has designed a 3D exhibition concept, which will be held indoors over an area of 180 square meters. The exhibition layout is divided into three parts, including Part 1: Son La – Historical Legacy, Part 2: Son La – Cultural Colours, and Part 3: Son La – Bright Future Ahead.

The space will feature artifacts, images, models, and live cultural-artistic performances showcasing the distinct heritage of Son La's ethnic communities. It will also incorporate digital technologies such as interactive displays, LED screens, lighting effects, and sound design to create a vivid, engaging, and culturally rich atmosphere.

A 3D model of the exhibition space for Son La province is introduced at the meeting.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to collect documents, artifacts, and images for the exhibition; invite artisans to participate in hands-on cultural activities; and carry out the bidding process for exhibition-related service packages in accordance with regulations.

Preparations will also include construction, rehearsals, final run-throughs, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the exhibition in Hanoi, scheduled to take place from August 11 to September 5, 2025.

In her concluding remarks, Xuan endorsed the department’s proposed exhibition concept and implementation plan. She requested the department to continue executing the tasks as scheduled, ensuring that the content, form, and scale are in line with the allocated budget.

She also urged continued efforts to research and collect new, unique, and representative materials and images that reflect the cultural identity and key achievements of Son La province, creating a lasting impression at the exhibition and contributing to the promotion of the province’s image.
