The Sop Cop Primary-Secondary Boarding School is being constructed in Sop Nam hamlet, Sop Cop commune, while the Muong Lan Primary-Secondary Boarding School is being built in Muong Lan hamlet, Muong Lan commune. Both projects began construction at the end of October 2025.

They are managed by the Son La provincial Management Board for Civil, Industrial, and Urban Development Projects and include the following components: classroom building, library, administrative office, student and teacher dormitories, canteen, multipurpose sports hall, swimming pool, parking area, and several other auxiliary facilities.

To date, both have completed over 80% of land clearance. Construction units are focusing manpower and machinery on foundation excavation for classrooms and dormitories, accelerating progress according to schedule.

The Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee requested construction units ensure quality and labour safety, promptly complete delayed items, and strive to put the schools into operation on time to meet the educational needs of children from all ethnic groups in the localities.

Relevant departments and agencies were asked to coordinate with local authorities to resolve issues related to procedures, disbursement, and land clearance, creating favourable conditions for the projects to be completed on schedule.
