Provincial chairman extends Tet wishes to Moc Chau and Moc Son wards

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, along with the working delegation, on February 5 inspected the situation and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to the Firefighting and Rescue Team of Area 3 and the wards of Moc Chau and Moc Son.

The delegation heard reports from the leaders of the Firefighting and Rescue Team of Area 3 and Moc Chau and Moc Son wards on the socio-economic development situation, ensuring public security, and preparations for people to enjoy the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026 holiday. Accordingly, the Firefighting and Rescue Team proactively developed a Tet duty plan, arranged personnel, vehicles, and equipment; maintained a strict duty schedule to promptly handle any arising situations, ensuring safety for the people during Tet celebrations. The wards have stabilised their organisational structure, operating under a two-level government model, ensuring smooth coordination. They have carried out well the tasks of socio-economic development, national defence and security, building the Party, and strengthening the local political system.

In order to ensure that people have a joyful Spring and celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday, the wards have mobilised social resources, businesses, and philanthropists; formed visiting delegations to offer gifts and assess the lives of people in the hamlets and residential areas. They have ensured the supply of goods and essential items for people during the Tet holiday, strictly controlled food safety, fought against counterfeit and low-quality goods, increased patrols to ensure public order and safety, fire prevention, and strictly dealt with social evils so that the people can celebrate Tet in peace.

Speaking at the working session, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested that units and localities continue to review and closely monitor the living conditions of the people, especially the poor, near-poor, policy beneficiary families, elderly people living alone, disabled individuals, and those with difficult labour situations, to ensure that everyone and every household has a happy Tet. Proactive plans must be made to ensure social order and safety, prevent crime and social evils, ensure traffic safety, fire prevention, and food safety. Activities to celebrate the Party and the New Year should be organised in a suitable, joyful, healthy, and economical manner.

On the occasion of preparing for the Lunar New Year 2026, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee presented 40 gift sets from the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to policy beneficiary families, war heroes, and poor households in Moc Chau and Moc Son wards. Viettel Son La also donated 20 gift sets to policy beneficiary families and war heroes in Moc Chau and Moc Son wards.
