According to assessments of post-disaster housing needs, Huoi Mot commune reported 17 houses completely collapsed and 74 households requiring urgent relocation. In Chieng So commune, 14 houses were totally destroyed, 41 required relocation, and 30 needed repairs.


To help stabilise the lives of affected residents, the provincial Military Command and affiliated units under Military Region 2 have coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to mobilise forces, select suitable locations, prepare materials, and organise the construction and repair of houses.
According to regulations, households with homes that were completely destroyed or required emergency relocation receive support of 100 million VND (3,795 USD) each, while those needing repairs receive 30 million VND each.

As of now, relevant units have commenced construction of 29 new houses, relocated 34 houses, and repaired 24 houses. The involved forces are striving to complete the construction and repair of houses before September 30.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Viet praised and appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts to overcome difficulties shown by the officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, as well as by local Party committees and authorities.
He also requested that the units continue to uphold the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” mobilise maximum manpower to accelerate construction progress while ensuring quality and safety, aiming to hand over the houses to the people as soon as possible.
