They included Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; among others.

At King Le Thai Tong Temple, the provincial leaders offered incense in remembrance of the King, who made significant contributions to unifying the country as well as building and safeguarding the nation. They expressed their respect and wished for a peaceful and prosperous new year. Officials, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Son La pledged to continue upholding the heroic traditions of their forebears and to build their homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous and civilised.

The delegation then offered incense at President Ho Chi Minh Temple, expressing profound respect and boundless gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s immense contributions to the struggle for national liberation in Vietnam and around the world.

The Party organisation, authorities, and people of Son La province pledged to continue preserving and promoting revolutionary traditions; steadfastly following the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and the President; further promoting the study and practice of his ideology, morality, and style; strengthening political determination; overcoming difficulties and challenges; and successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks to build Son La into an increasingly developed province.

At Son La Prison Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Memorial House for the Martyrs of Son La Prison, the provincial leaders solemnly laid flowers and offered incense, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs - outstanding sons and daughters of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and reunification.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, today’s generation pledged to continue fostering unity and promoting the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation; to better care for those who rendered service to the revolution; to uphold the moral principle of “when drinking water, remember its source”; and to join hands in building the province into a stronger and more prosperous locality, worthy of the great sacrifices made by the heroic martyrs for national independence and freedom.
