Provincial leaders receive China's Pacific Construction Group delegation

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on April 2 held a working session with China’s aPacific Construction Group, led by its founder Yan Jiehe, who is also Chairman of the Zhuangyan Research Institute.

Founded in 1986, Pacific Construction Group is one of two companies under the Zhuangyan Research Institute and has ranked among the world’s top 500 enterprises for more than a decade. The group holds top-tier general contracting qualifications in expressway construction, urban development, hydraulic works, and civil and industrial engineering. It has directly invested in, built and managed more than 1,000 cities, along with over 3,000 urban areas and industrial zones, under models such as BT, BOT, EPC, F+EPCO and PPP, as well as other modern investment cooperation formats.

At the event, the two sides discussed potential areas of cooperation, focusing on transport and urban infrastructure development and the building of modern, integrated infrastructure, thereby helping to drive local socio-economic development.

At the working session, Viet briefed the guests on the province’s geographical advantages, trade connectivity and socio-economic development. He spoke highly of the group’s reputation, capacity and experience in implementing large-scale projects in many countries, and affirmed that Son La stands ready to create favourable conditions for investors with strong financial capacity, advanced technology and modern governance to conduct surveys and research and pursue long-term, effective investment in the locality.

For his part, Yan thanked said Pacific Construction Group has successfully implemented a number of transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam's northern provinces and cities, earning high recognition from local Party committees and authorities.

He said his group appreciates Son La’s potential, strengths and recent economic achievements, and hopes that the province will facilitate its surveys and exploration of opportunities to implement infrastructure investment projects, thereby contributing to local socio-economic development and investment attraction.
