Provincial leaders visit, present gifts to Long He people

The leaders of Long He commune reported on the results of socio-economic development, national defence, security, and Party building work in 2025; and key tasks for 2026. In the past year, Long He led the people in planting 1,150 hectares of rice, with an estimated yield of 1,316 tonnes; and planting 630 hectares of cassava, with an estimated output of 7,749 tonnes.

The commune planted 199 hectares of coffee, bringing the total area to 238 hectares; of which, 39.26 hectares are ready for harvest, with an estimated yield of approximately 98.15 tonnes. The total area of ​​fruit trees reached 662.9 hectares. Livestock farming developed towards commercialisation, with a total herd of over 53,000 head of livestock and poultry. Existing forests were well protected, with a current coverage rate of 54.1%.

The socio-cultural sector has seen many positive changes. Party-building efforts have been strengthened, with improved leadership capacity and combat readiness of Party organisations and members at the grassroots level. National defence and security have been maintained.

The provincial Party Committee Secretary acknowledged and commended the achievements of Long He commune over the past year. He urged the commune to continue focusing on Party building, consolidating the grassroots political system, effectively fulfilling the tasks of the local two-tier administration, and encouraging the people to develop the economy and strive to eliminate poverty.

Additionally, the commune is expected to organise activities that allow residents to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet) in a joyful, healthy, and economical manner, while paying attention to local policy beneficiary families. Preparations should also be made to ensure the successful organisation of the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
