Mat is a border hamlet, more than 200 km from the political-administrative centre of Son La province. The hamlet currently has 114 households with more than 500 residents, consisting of two ethnic groups, Thai and Mong, living together. Local people consistently comply with the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and local regulations, while uniting and striving to develop the economy and apply technical advances to production.
