Provincial NA deputies meet voters in Quynh Nhai district

The provincial delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies met with voters in Nam Et and Muong Sai communes, Quynh Nhai district on May 4, ahead of the seventh session of the 15th legislature.

The delegation included Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of NA deputies; and Dinh Cong Sy, Deputy Chairman of the NA's Committee for Culture and Education.

At the meeting, Sy informed voters about the activities of delegation between two sessions of the National Assembly and the expected agenda of the legislature’s upcoming seventh session.

Voters in the two communes proposed authorities at all levels invest in building bridges in their localities; a 8.7km road to the centre of Nam Et commune to Muong Sai commune; and houses for public employees in Nam Et commune. They also suggested building a concrete road connecting to Nam Et ferry port and supporting production chain links for local farmers.

Quynh Nhai district suggested the delegation propose the Prime Minister direct ministries and central agencies to consider the continued application of distinct policies and mechanisms to support ethnic minority-inhabited districts and communes in the 2026-2030 period.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Dong answered questions raised by voters under his authority. He requested the Standing Board of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Office of the provincial delegation of NA deputies and the provincial People's Council to collect voters' opinions and recommendations and send them to competent agencies for responses in line with regulations.
