Provincial National Assembly deputies meet with voters in Binh Thuan commune

The provincial delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies on October 2 held a meeting with voters in Binh Thuan commune ahead of the 10th session of the 15th legislature.

Attending the meeting were Lo Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for People’s Aspirations and Supervision; Hoang Thi Doi, member of the NA Council for Ethnic Affairs and deputy head of the delegation; representatives of the Office of the provincial Delegation of NA Deputies and the People's Council; leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and leaders and voters from Binh Thuan commune.

At the meeting, the delegation informed voters about the tentative agenda, content, and schedule of the upcoming 10th session. They also reported on the delegation’s activities between the two NA sessions.

A leader of Binh Thuan commune presented an update on socio-economic, defence, and security developments in the locality from the administrative merger on July 1, 2025 to the present.

Voters in Binh Thuan commune raised several proposals and concerns, including allocation of funding to build a new commune administrative office; organising professional training programmes on public administration and IT applications for commune officials and civil servants; upgrading the section of National Highway 6 passing through Binh Thuan commune to ensure safety, especially for students.

They also mentioned funding for the construction of a commune-level sports stadium; and conversion of single-crop rice fields in Dong Quan hamlet into long-term perennial crop land.

The delegation acknowledged and responded to proposals within their authority, while pledging to forward others to the National Assembly and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution in accordance with the law.
