Provincial official extends New Year greetings to Chieng Khuong, Muong Hung, Chieng Khoong, Song Ma residents

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of the province Cha A Cua, along with a provincial delegation, inspected and assessed the preparations for the Lunar New Year (Tet) in the communes of Chieng Khuong, Muong Hung, Chieng Khoong, and Song Ma on February 4.

The working delegation visited and reviewed the situation at the Chieng Khuong Border Gate Border Guard Station; the Chieng Khuong Border Guard Control Station; Son La Customs at the Chieng Khuong main border gate; the Bua Hin Border Guard Control Station; Muong Cai Border Guard Post; the fire prevention-firefighting and search-and-rescue police teams of the Song Ma area, and Chieng Khuong, Muong Hung, Chieng Khoong and Song Ma communes.

At the visited sites, units gave brief reports on the results of task implementation in 2025 and on the deployment of plans to ensure national defence, political security and social order and safety during the Lunar New Year 2026. The units have proactively developed duty plans for the Tet holiday, arranged personnel, vehicles and equipment, strictly maintained on-duty regimes, and remained ready to promptly handle any arising situations, thereby ensuring safety for the people to celebrate Tet.

The communes reported on the socio-economic and cultural develop situation, national defence and security, and Party building in 2025, as well as key tasks for 2026. Accordingly, they have stabilised their organisational apparatus under a coordinated and smoothly operating two-tier local administration model, effectively carried out socio-economic development tasks, ensured national defence and security, strengthened Party building, and consolidated the local political system.

Speaking at the units, Cua acknowledged and commended the strong sense of responsibility and efforts shown by officers and personnel in carrying out their tasks in 2025. He requested the units to strictly maintain duty and combat-readiness regimes, step up patrols and controls to ensure national defence, security, public order and safety, and fire and explosion prevention.

The communes were urged to continue strengthening Party building in conjunction with socio-economic development, safeguarding national defence, security and public order, and paying due attention to improving people’s livelihoods, particularly policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services, war invalids and martyrs’ families, and vulnerable groups, ensuring that every household is able to enjoy Tet. He also stressed the need to make thorough preparations for the successful organisation of the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the provincial official presented gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and VFF Committee to officers and personnel of the visited units, as well as to 80 households of people with meritorious service, martyrs’ relatives, war invalids and poor households in the communes.
