Provincial Party leader visits, presents Tet gifts to residents in Long He commune

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh visited Long He commune, Thuan Chau district to offer Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to local people.

Accompanying him were Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and other officials.

At the working session with the delegation, leaders of Thuan Chau district reported on efforts to ensure social welfare during the Tet holiday. The district has developed plans to organize visits and give gifts to policy beneficiaries, social welfare recipients, as well as agencies, organizations, and individuals in the locality. At the same time, it has instructed agencies, units, and socio-political organizations to receive and distribute gifts to those in need in accordance with regulations.

Khanh briefed on the province’s socio-economic development results in 2024. He extended his best wishes to all officials, Party members, workers, and people in Thuan Chau in general and Long He commune in particular on the occasion of New Year 2025. He expressed his hope that the district, with a high determination, will successfully accomplish socio-economic development targets and ensure the people celebrate a joyful, healthy, and economical Tet.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 20 Tet gifts (worth 1.3 million VND or 51 USD each). Agribank Son La also donated 20 Tet gifts (worth 1 million VND each) to poor and near-poor households in Long He commune.

The delegation also visited and extended New Year wishes to the family of Thao Xuan Sung, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, and former Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.
