Provincial Party official visits, presents gifts to wounded and sick soldiers

Dinh Thi Bich Thao, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and head of its Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Board, on July 21 led a delegation to visit, offer encouragement, and present gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Thuan Chau commune, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025).

The delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded soldier Lo Van Phuong, 72, in Pan hamlet, who suffers from a 34% disability; and Hoang Van Phong, 73, in Cong Muong hamlet, a severely injured veteran with a 61% disability.

Thao kindly inquired about their health, listened to their thoughts, and expressed deep gratitude for the immense sacrifices and contributions made by the wounded soldiers to the cause of national liberation and defence.

She encouraged them to continue upholding the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers," to live happily and healthily, and to be shining examples for younger generations. She also emphasised the importance of educating their children and grandchildren to preserve and promote the proud revolutionary traditions of their homeland.

This traditional activity demonstrates the profound gratitude of the Party Committee and authorities of Son La province toward wounded soldiers, affirming that the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” is always cherished and upheld by all levels of leadership in the province.
