Provincial People’s Committee Chairman casts vote in Thao Nguyen ward

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, attended the opening ceremony of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term and cast his ballot at Polling Station No. 6 (Che Den 1 residential group), Thao Nguyen ward on March 15 morning.

From early morning, locals, dressed in their most beautiful and colourful outfits, gathered at the polling area, with their faces glowing with pride as residents of the famous tourism and tea-producing region bearing the Moc Chau brand. Red flags, banners and slogans decorated the polling area, creating an atmosphere that was both solemn and festive.

In this election, Thao Nguyen ward has 20 polling stations with 14,587 voters casting their ballots to elect three deputies to the National Assembly, four to the provincial People’s Council, and 20 to the ward People’s Council.

At the polling station in Che Den 1 residential group, 664 voters cast their ballots to elect three deputies to the National Assembly, four to the provincial People’s Council, and five to the ward People’s Council.

Voters were briefed on the election regulations, the rules of the polling station, and witnessed the sealing of the ballot box in accordance with the provisions of the Election Law.

Amid the festive atmosphere of the national festival, voters followed the prescribed procedures: presenting their voter cards, receiving ballots, entering the private voting area to mark, and then personally casting them into the ballot box under the supervision of the election team and fellow voters.

Each ballot cast by voters carries their trust in the chosen candidates, with the hope that the elected deputies will continue to pay attention to and propose appropriate policies and guidelines to effectively harness the potential and strengths of Thao Nguyen ward.

These include promoting the development of commodity-oriented agriculture, applying science and technology to enhance product value, and fostering the growth of eco-tourism, resort and community-based tourism associated with preserving and promoting the cultural identities of ethnic groups. Such efforts are expected to contribute to the continued development of Thao Nguyen ward and the Moc Chau National Tourist Area in general.
