The delegation visited and presented gifts to Son La Power Company, Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company, and Son La Environmental and Urban Services Joint Stock Company. At each company, the delegation was briefed on the preliminary results of production and business activities, including water supply, power generation, and urban upgrading efforts. They also discussed the preparations for and care of employees, civil servants, and workers at the companies for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Cha A Cua praised the achievements of these enterprises in 2025 and encouraged them to continue implementing their production and business tasks effectively to meet the needs of local residents and enterprises. He emphasised the importance of contributing to the province's socio-economic development targets. Additionally, he urged the companies to make appropriate on-duty personnel arrangements and ensure stable water supply, urban upgrading, and electricity system operations before, during, and after the holiday.

In recent years, the policy of sending local workers overseas for contract-based employment has received close attention and direction from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee. Authorities at all levels and sectors have coordinated closely to implement overseas labor programmes effectively.
Leveraging its favorable climate and soil conditions, Van Son ward has focused on restructuring its economy by encouraging and supporting enterprises, cooperatives, and farming households to integrate agricultural production with processing and experiential tourism. In 2025, as part of the sub-project on rural electrification from the national grid, Gia Phu commune built a new transformer station and upgraded the power line system and infrastructure for over 300 households in Nhot, Nhot 2, Suoi Duong, Gia Phu, La, Na Mac, and Chat hamlets.
Implementing the 2026 winter-spring crop production plan, the Chieng Mai commune general service centre has assigned specialised staff to closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level, coordinate with hamlet heads and households to review the area, prepare seeds and agricultural supplies, and provide technical guidance on land preparation.
Since the beginning of the year, Muong La commune has attracted more than 2,000 visitors for sightseeing and experiences, mainly to the area around the Son La Hydropower Plant, the hydropower reservoir area, and the “Tat Pha” eco-tourism area in Nong Luong hamlet.
Since 2025, the provincial People's Committee has organised two rounds of evaluation and classification of OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, recognising an additional 54 new products.
To meet the demand for poultry in the area, households in Muong Lan commune have focused on developing poultry farming commercially, aiming to diversify the local food supply.
