Senior Party official works with Standing Board of provincial Party Committee

Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Organisation Commission, had a working session with the Standing Board of the Son La provincial Party Committee on August 6.

Attending the meeting were Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee and permanent deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission; and Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee and deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.

Speaking at the event,  Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee briefed delegates on some outstanding results of the province in the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and the Resolution of the 15th provincial Party Congress from the beginning of the term to the present; key tasks and main solutions from now until the end of the term. He also reported on the preparation work for Party congresses at all levels, towards the 16th provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.

The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee proposed the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission to propose the Secretariat early approve the positions of Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and Chairperson of the provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Hung appreciated the achievements gained by Son La in the past time, and requested the province to focus on leading and directing the implementation of measures to fix the consequences of floods; as well as the building of programmes and plans to concretise and organise the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No. 35-CT/TW on Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Attention should be paid to carrying out the provincial master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, along with national target programmes, especially the programme for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; speeding up the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; promoting internal solidarity; and creating high unity and consensus among the people, he added.
