The project follows the Politburo’s Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025, on the policy of investing in building schools in border areas.
The proposed site, located in Le hamlet, covers an area of 4.9 hectares, with a projected investment of 150 billion VND. The school will feature 65 classrooms, an administrative building, dormitories and dining facilities for students (80 rooms), housing for teachers (36 rooms), a multipurpose hall and gymnasium (450sq.m), and supporting technical and infrastructure components.
The school is expected to accommodate up to 1,500 students.

Chieng Khoong authorities are working with provincial departments to finalize zoning and land use adjustments, conduct land surveys, and develop compensation and resettlement plans for affected households.

At a working session with the local authorities, Xuan asked the commune to enhance public awareness to create community consensus around the project.
Chieng Khoong needs to count the number of students in the area to make suitable staff arrangement plans, review investment items thoroughly to ensure compliance and avoid waste, and work closely with relevant departments to expedite land clearance, planning procedures, and funding allocation, she said.
The goal is to complete all preparatory work by Q4/2025, enabling an early groundbreaking, she noted.
