Son La accelerates implementation of national target programmes

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on January 27 chaired a meeting with departments and agencies to assign tasks for implementing the national target programmes for 2026–2030.

Participants reviewed and commented on a draft task-allocation plan and implementation framework, with discussions focusing on decentralisation and delegation mechanisms for managing and executing the programmes across assigned sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, Hau urged departments to strictly implement Government Decree No. 358 and advise the provincial People’s Committee on specifying principles, criteria, norms and charter funding ratios to strengthen autonomy and accountability in project management. He assigned the Department of Finance to finalise the task-allocation document for submission to the People’s Committee, and to balance and allocate local charter funding for each programme. 

The Department of Agriculture and Environment was tasked with leading guidance on procedures for production-support mechanisms and coordinating with the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs in the implementation of the programmes covering new rural development, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. 

The Departments of Education and Training; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Health; and Public Security will materialise the programmes within their respective mandates, ensuring practicality and feasibility.
