Son La delegation attends ceremony to commence Children's Cultural Center in Laos’ Bokeo province

A delegation of Son La province led by Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh on April 5 attended a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the Children’s Cultural Center in Laos’ Bokeo province.

Also present at the ceremony was Buakhong Nammavong, member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Governor of Bokeo province.

Delegates kick off construction of the Children’s Cultural Center.

Financed by Son La province, the 5 billion VND (231,083 USD) project covers an area of ​​nearly 500sq.m. This is an important infrastructure project offering a place to educate civil servants, youth, teenagers, students and people in Bokeo province. It will also be a place for literature and art display in association with developing tourism in Nong Than Park; and for preserving, protecting and promoting the Lao cultural traditions for future generations.

Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh symbolically presents 5 billion VND to Bokeo province. 

Buakhong Nammavong emphasized the significance of the project, saying it will contribute to further strengthening the special cooperation and solidarity between Laos and Vietnam in general and between Bokeo and Son La provinces in particular.
