A Chieng Khoong commune official speaks at the working session.
At the working session, local authorities and unit commanders reported on the management of border and border markers, the maintenance of security and order along Son La’s border, and the outcomes of defence and security tasks following the implementation of the two-tier local government model.
They said the border situation remains stable, with border and border markers in Muong Hung and Chieng Khoong communes well preserved. Security and order in border areas have been maintained, and emerging incidents have been promptly detected and handled. Border guard posts have worked closely with local police and militia forces to monitor border hamlets, stay informed on developments, and effectively prevent and combat crimes.
The units have fulfilled their mission of safeguarding national sovereignty and border security, while reinforcing the all-people border defence posture.
