According to the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 149/CĐ-TTg dated August 28, 2025, and the guidance from the Ministry of Finance, the gift value is 100,000 VND (3.8 USD) per citizen.

At the meeting, representatives from departments and localities reported on the distribution progress and raised several challenges, such as reviewing and updating citizen lists, payment methods in remote areas, and coordination between agencies during implementation.

Localities also proposed that the province issue unified guidance soon to ensure gifts are delivered to the right recipients in a safe and timely manner.

A representative of the Department of Finance addresses the event.

In his concluding remarks, Hau instructed departments and localities to strictly follow the documents issued by the central and provincial governments. He urged the establishment of grassroots task forces and emphasised the motto "go to every alley, knock on every door" to ensure the gift distribution is completed before 11:00 am on September 1, based on the list provided by the police force.

He also asked localities to be flexible in their payment methods and promptly provide guidance and solutions to arising difficulties during implementation. At the same time, all paperwork and procedures must comply with regulations, and progress reports must be submitted to the provincial People's Committee for timely direction.

The provincial Department of Public Security were assigned to proactively provide lists, guide legal procedures, and coordinate with localities during payment.

The Department of Finance was tasked with proposing additional funding and developing a plan to conduct random inspections in some areas to ensure the policy is implemented properly, effectively, transparently, and in accordance with regulations.
