The database catalogue of Son La province covers internal sectoral databases serving state management and provides public data sharing for organisations and individuals to access and use information. Accordingly, the updated catalogue framework includes the list of administrative procedures of the provincial People’s Committee; electronic medical records partially integrated with social insurance and the VNeID system; data on appraisal results for the selection of investors for business investment projects; databases on tourist areas, tourist attractions, community-based tourism sites, tourist accommodation establishments, and service businesses meeting standards for serving tourists, among others.
At the meeting, departments and agencies reported on their review of data in accordance with their respective functions and responsibilities. They identified appropriate content and methods for data sharing in compliance with regulations. For databases developed and implemented by central ministries and sectors under vertical management, the locality will implement and utilise them without creating new parallel databases. The connection and sharing of data between the provincial data repository and national information systems, national databases, and specialised databases must ensure effective, synchronised use and information security.
Representatives of provincial departments and agencies attend the working session.
In his remarks, Chien requested that departments and units with databases registered under Decision 515 continue reviewing and classifying data, and strictly comply with regulations on data entry and use. At the same time, they should update the content of data permitted for sharing in accordance with legal provisions, and propose adjustments or additions to Son La province’s database catalogue where necessary. The provincial Department of Public Security was assigned to take the lead, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology, in gathering proposals and submitting them to the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for consideration and decision.
