Son La police hold Firefighting and Rescue Skills Competition 2025

The Son La Department of Public Security on December 11 organised the Firefighting and Rescue Skills Competition 2025 for its firefighting and rescue police force.

The competition featured seven teams with more than 80 officers and policemen from the firefighting and rescue units across the department’s Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division. Participants competed in three events: the 4x100m rescue and firefighting relay, the 100m obstacle course for rescue operations, and the fire pump team event, focusing on targeted water spraying.

With careful preparation and high determination, the competitors gave their all, demonstrating professional, scientific, and proficient skills and tactics, while delivering exciting, intense, and engaging performances across all events.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Organising Committee awarded three first, three second, and three third prizes to the winning teams in each event. The Director of the provincial Department of Public Security presented the certificates of merit to two collectives and eight individuals for their outstanding achievements in organising the competition.

The competition served as an opportunity for each team and police officer of the provincual firefighting and rescue police force to learn, exchange experience, and further enhance their skills and capabilities in responding to and handling fires, explosions, incidents, and accidents. It also contributed to building a resilient, disciplined, and elite firefighting and rescue force that serves the people.
