Son La prepares for Na San Airport construction

The Standing Board of the Son La provincial Party Committee on August 8 had a working session with the Party delegation to the provincial People's Committee on preparations for the investment in Na San Airport.

The Standing Board of the Son La provincial Party Committee works with the Party delegation to the provincial People's Committee on preparations for Na San Airport investment.

The Prime Minister, ministries and central agencies agreed to implement a project to build Na San Airport in Son La province in the 2021-2030 period. The airport investment was also included in the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation for the 2020-2025 term.

Son La province has sent a document to the Ministry of Transport to report on some additional contents on the scale and form of investment in Na San Airport, serving as a basis for the ministry to report to the Prime Minister. The locality has proactively removed difficulties related to the handover of defense land at Na San Airport as well as reviewed the current state of land in service of compensation, site clearance and resettlement.

It has also made plans for land recovery, site clearance and resettlement area building; prepared estimates, outlined tasks, and selected a consultant for devising the Na San Airport investment and operation project.

In the coming time, the Party delegation to the provincial People's Committee will supplement a plan to carry out the investment preparation task; and focus on implementing the contents related to the Na San Airport project in accordance with regulations.
