At the conference, a representative of the provincial Military Command reported on preparations for the exercise; presented the draft assignment of responsibilities to members of the organising committee; outlined the proposed exercise framework (Framework B), the programme for mechanism-based exercise conferences, and the draft plan on establishment of subcommittees assisting the organising committee.
According to the plan, the exercise will be held in June 2026, under the theme "Placing the provincial armed forces in the state of combat readiness; shifting localities to defence postures; and making preparations and conducting defensive combat operations".
At the conference, delegates focused their discussions on issues related to personnel consolidation, assignment of responsibilities to members of the organising committee and supporting subcommittees; the selection of exercise locations to meet task requirements; as well as training, logistics and security arrangements.
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet assigned the standing agency (the provincial Military Command) to absorb feedback, finalise documents and submit them for approval to ensure timely implementation. Members of the organising committee, along with relevant agencies and units, were requested to proactively carry out their assigned tasks, maintaining close coordination with related bodies to ensure effectiveness, progress and quality.
He also called for accelerated preparations for the exercise, with a focus on constructing the command headquarters, simulated combat bases, live-fire training grounds and police field exercise sites, to ensure preparations will be completed before April 30 for training. Participating units and localities were urged to thoroughly prepare exercise documents, organise training and conduct mechanism-based drills.
At the same time, communication efforts should be strengthened before, during and after the exercise to foster a spirit of enthusiasm and determination, contributing to the successful organisation of the exercise.
