Son La ready to break ground on 2 projects to celebrate 14th National Party Congress

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Tien on December 11 inspected preparations for the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Chieng Dong Water Plant project and another on renovation and construction of facilities within the provincial Party Committee compound, in celebration of the 14th National Party Congress.

The 230 billion VND (8.74 million USD) Chieng Dong Water Plant, located in Chieng Mung commune and invested by Son La Water Supply Joint Stock Company. It aims to provide clean water to communes and wards in the former Son La city and Mai Son district.

The project on renovation and construction of facilities within the provincial Party Committee compound in To Hieu ward is invested by the provincial Management Board for Civil, Industrial, and Urban Development Projects, and is scheduled for implementation from 2024 to 2027.

To date, preparations regarding facilities, site clearance, personnel, and ceremonial arrangements have basically met the required standards, ensuring readiness for the groundbreaking ceremonies.

After the on-site inspection, Tien instructed relevant departments, agencies, and localities to ensure progress, develop detailed scripts for groundbreaking ceremonies, prepare for live broadcasting, and effectively manage security, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation.

The groundbreaking ceremonies must be held in a solemn, practical, efficient, and safe manner, in line with local socio-economic conditions, and inspire enthusiasm among Party members and the public in anticipation of the 14th National Party Congress, he noted.
