Joining the nationwide spirit, on August 16 morning at Tay Bac Square, the Son La provincial Department of Public Security and the Representative Office of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the province organised an event in response to the national walking programme named “Cung Viet Nam tien buoc” (Moving forward with Vietnam).

The event, with the message “One billion steps into a new era,” was held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2025), and National Day (September 2, 1945–2025), and the traditional day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945–2025).

The provincial-scale event took place simultaneously across communes and wards, attracting a large number of officials, Party members, citizens, and public security officers.
