Son La’s National Assembly deputies meet voters in Song Khua commune

A delegation of Son La province’s National Assembly (NA) deputies, including Quang Van Huong, Vice Chairman of the NA's Council for Ethnic Affairs, and Hoang Thi Doi, deputy head of the delegation, on September 25 met with voters in Song Khua commune, Van Ho district ahead of the sixth plenary session of the 15th National Assembly.

The delegation informed voters of the results of its activities between two plenums of the legislature, and the expected content and agenda of the sixth session.

Voters proposed to the NA and ministries and central agencies consider amending and supplementing Article 32 of the 2015 Law on Organisation of Local Governments on the organisational structure of the commune People's Council and supplementing regulations on establishing a commune-level People's Council deputy group to facilitate the organisation and operation of commune People's Council deputies in hamlets.

They also suggested providing monthly social protection allowances for all elderly people aged 75 years old and above, instead of 80 years old at present; and adjusting payments for forest environmental services in accordance to the 2017 Law on Forestry.

NA deputies responded to the questions of voters under their jurisdiction, and collected opinions to submit them to competent agencies for consideration and settlement.

The delegation gives gifts to invalids, sick soldiers and families of those who rendered service to the nation.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 11 gifts to invalids, sick soldiers and families of those who rendered service to the nation in Song Khua commune.
