Standing Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee attends Great National Unity Festival in Ta Xua hamlet

Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, attended the Great National Unity Festival in Ta Xua hamlet, Ta Xua commune on November 12.

Attending the festival were leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives from provincial departments and sectors; leaders of Ta Xua commune; representatives of the hamlet-level Fatherland Front working boards in the commune; and a large number of local residents.

Ta Xua hamlet has 202 households with 1,098 residents, the majority of whom are Mong ethnic people (98%). The hamlet has eight clans, with nine poor and three near-poor households. The village Party cell has 39 members. In recent years, the people of Ta Xua have always upheld the spirit of solidarity, making great efforts to effectively implement various movements and campaigns launched by authorities at all levels. Their living standards have gradually improved, the rural appearance has become more vibrant, and political security and social order have been maintained.

With favourable climate and natural landscape, Ta Xua residents have been actively developing tourism, attracting visitors for sightseeing and experience-based activities.

The local ethnic people also focus on agricultural development, maintaining and expanding upland rice, tea, son tra (docynia indica), and cardamom cultivation. They pay attention to building OCOP products, preserving traditional handicrafts, expanding business and service activities, and maintaining civilized practices in weddings, funerals, and festivals.

According to evaluations, in 2025, 133 households in the village achieved the title of “Cultural Family.” The movements for crime and drug prevention and ensuring social security and order have been effectively implemented.

Speaking at the Great National Unity Festival, Chien acknowledged and commended the achievements of Ta Xua hamlet. He requested the Party cell, management board, and Fatherland Front working board to continue disseminating and encouraging residents to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines, State policies and laws, as well as the hamlet’s conventions and regulations.

He emphasised promoting the strength of great national unity, actively participating in campaigns and movements launched by all levels and sectors; enhancing the application of science and technology in production; maintaining social order and security; mobilising people to upgrade internal roads; developing sustainable tourism associated with landscape and environmental protection.

The hamlet should preserve ethnic cultural identity, striving to become a typical tourist destination of the commune, he noted.
