Tet gifts come to communes in Muong La area

Duong Tu Anh, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and head of the committee’s Inspection Commission, on January 28 led a delegation to visit and present Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to several communes and units in the Muong La area. Representatives from BIDV’s Son La branch accompanied the delegation.

The leader of the provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission presents gifts to Muong La commune.

The delegation visited Muong La, Chieng Hoa and Muong Bu communes, the Region 2 Firefighting and Rescue Unit under the provincial Department of Public Security, and the Son La Hydropower Plant to assess conditions and present Lunar New Year gifts.

During the visits, local authorities and units briefed the delegation on 2025 socio-economic performance; results of self-supervision over leadership and direction in preparing for the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term; and Tet-duty arrangements.

The working delegation is briefed on conditions in Chieng Hoa commune.

Speaking at the working session, Tu Anh urged the communes to continue implementing key tasks for 2026, closely follow guidance and ensure election preparations stay on schedule.

She also called for stepped-up public outreach to ensure strict compliance with regulations on fire and explosion prevention, traffic safety and public order, and for mobilising social resources to support disadvantaged people during Tet.

The Region 2 Firefighting and Rescue Unit and the Son La Hydropower Plant were asked to further strengthen responsibility, fulfil assigned duties and pay close attention to the welfare of officers, personnel and workers on Tet duty.

On the occasion, Tu Anh presented gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to the localities and units.

She also handed over 60 gift packages from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to poor households and policy beneficiary families.

The provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission contributed 15 packages, BIDV 60, Son La Urban Environment and Services JSC 65, and Son La Lottery Co. 15 for disadvantaged households across the communes. The gifts were worth more than 100 million VND (3,836 USD).
