At the working session, the communes and border guard stations reported that since the beginning of the year, territorial sovereignty, border security, political security, and social order in Long Phieng, Phieng Khoai, and Yen Son communes have been maintained and strengthened. The system of borderlines, national markers, and other border infrastructure has been properly managed, protected, and preserved in its original condition. Unit leaders have regularly conducted on-site combat training exercises, ensuring readiness for border protection missions.

The communes have also promoted communication and mobilisation efforts to encourage residents to strictly comply with the Vietnam–Laos Border Regulations Agreement; maintained cooperation in the management and protection of borderlines and national border markers; strengthened friendship relations; and effectively implemented the twinning model between villages on both sides of the border, specifically between Long Phieng, Phieng Khoai, and Yen Son communes and villages of Xieng Kho district, Houaphanh province of Laos.
