Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on October 11 conducted a field inspection and chaired a working session with provincial departments, agencies, and the People’s Committees of Van Ho and To Mua communes regarding the site clearance progress of the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway project.

To celebrate the 130th founding anniversary of Son La province (1895–2025) and the success of the 16th provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure, BHL Food Material Processing JSC inaugurated the BHL Son La Modified Starch Factory on October 9.

As part of a series of events celebrating the 130th founding anniversary of Son La province (October 10, 1895 – 2025), the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened a competition of traditional sports and ethnic folk games on October 8 morning at Tay Bac Square. The event formed part of the National Target Programme on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas .

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on October 8 held a ceremony to open a photo exhibition themed “Son La – 130 Years of Historical Imprints and Development Aspirations” and a book exhibition entitled “Son La – The Legendary Land,” and launch the Lifelong Learning Week 2025 and the Son La Book Fair 2025.

The Forest Protection Unit of Region 15 and the Tu Xua Special-Use Forest Management Board, in coordination with the local authorities of Suoi To, Muong Coi, and Ta Xua communes, on October 7 organised a signing ceremony for coordination regulations on forest protection, forest fire prevention and control, nature conservation, and biodiversity preservation.

The provincial Mobile Police Unit, in coordination with Son La Hydropower Company, conducted a training exercise and drill on responding to armed attacks and bomb disposal at the Son La Hydropower Plant on October 7.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment on October 7-8 hosted an agricultural forum themed “Agricultural Extension Supporting Farmers in Smart Coffee Farming Adapted to Climate Change.” The event brought together over 200 participants, including experts, representative from businesses and cooperatives, and coffee growers from Son La and Dien Bien provinces.

The Son La provincial Industrial Park Authority on October 7 held a working session with BHL Food Ingredients Processing JSC to prepare for the inauguration of the BHL Son La modified starch processing plant. The project forms part of activities celebrating the 130th anniversary of Son La province’s establishment.

Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong on October 7 chaired a meeting with Ta Xua Skyline JSC to review the company’s proposal seeking approval to study, survey, and implement a project on disaster prevention, landslide control, and sustainable tourism development in Ta Xua Cloud Paradise, Ta Xua commune. The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant provincial departments, agencies, and the Ta Xua commune People’s Committee.

The Son La provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organise the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Day, under the slogan “Donate Blood to Save Lives – Donate Regularly” at Tay Bac University on October 5.

The Son La Vietnamese Women’s Association – Connecting Women from All Places on October 5 held a gathering to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – 2025). The event was attended by over 120 members from grassroots-level women’s organisations across the province.

The Youth Union of the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the provincial Youth Union, held a conference on October 5 to popularise the Party’s guidelines and policies on socio-economic development, startups, and business activities or youth in ethnic-inhabited and mountainous areas.
