Free medical examination, drug offered for people in Mai Son

The Red Cross Society of Son La province on February 26 coordinated with the Mai Son district Medical Centre to provide free health check-ups, consultations and medicine for 200  poor people, policy beneficiaries, the elderly, those who rendered service to the revolution, and victims of Agent Orange in Muong Chanh and Chieng Chung communes.

Doctors from the Mai Son district Medical Centre provide medical check-ups for locals.

Doctors and nurses from the Mai Son district Medical Centre conducted general examinations, measured blood pressure, provided consultations and guidance on knowledge and skills to prevent some common diseases, such as flu, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and stroke in winter. At the same time, they distributed free supplements and medicine to treat common diseases to locals. The total cost of the programme was nearly 30 million VND (1,174 USD).
