Poor families in Bac Yen district’s Song Pe commune receive housing support

Bac Yen district on January 22 handed over houses to two disadvantaged families in Song Pe commune. Cha A Cua, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Council, attended the hand-over ceremony.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Council Cha A Cua hands over the house to Phang A Cang's family in Suoi Quoc hamlet, Song Pe commune.

The beneficiaries are Phang A Cang and Phang A Chu, both from Suoi Quoc hamlet. The construction of the houses, each covering about 60-70 sq.m, began in early January, at a cost of 130-150 million VND (5,173 – 5,968 USD).

The effort aimed to respond to a broader housing support programme launched by the Prime Minister. Bac Yen district has supported 40 families with temporary and dilapidated houses so far this year, 10 houses more than the registered. By January 22, the entire district had completed the construction of 25 houses, and it is striving to assist 15 others before January 27.
