Son La children learn to be farmers

The Youth Activity Centre of Son La province on May 28-29 held the “Learning to be farmers 2025” programme in Chieng Khoi commune, Yen Chau district.

The event brought together nearly 60 students from primary and secondary schools across the province. The participants engaged directly in daily farming activities such as growing vegetables, harvesting crops, catching fish, and picking mangoes. They also took part in traditional folk games and community dances, and wrote thank-you notes to their parents.

Students learn hands-on vegetable gardening as part of the programme.

The students eagerly play games.

The hands-on farming experience gave students the opportunity to learn and explore valuable knowledge about agriculture. It also helped them better understand the daily life and work of farmers, fostering greater appreciation and respect for the value of hard work.

On this occasion, the Son La Youth Activity Centre presented four gifts, each worth 500,000 VND (around 19.21 USD), to policy beneficiary families in Chieng Khoi commune.
