Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2025 launched

The provincial Youth Union held the launching ceremony for the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2025 at the provincial Social Protection Centre No. 2 on May 29. The event gathered more than 300 youth union members from schools and armed forces across the province.

The 2025 campaign centres around several key volunteer programmes and activities, including exam support, green march, green summer, red phoenix flower, pink holiday, along with various social welfare activities and activities in response to the Action Month for Children

At the ceremony, the provincial Youth Union donated 50 million VND (1,923 USD) to the provincial Social Protection Centre; presented 10 “Red Scarf Chicken Flocks” and nine gifts to elderly individuals living alone, and 18 scholarships to underprivileged students.

It organised a special event called “Buffet of Love – Sending Smiles to Children” at the Social Protection Centre. The total funding for the activities exceeded 200 million VND (7,693 USD).

Immediately after the launch, a variety of meaningful actions were held, including life skills education, digital literacy, “Vegetable Garden for Children” community project, folk games and free haircuts, fire prevention and firefighting awareness campaigns.

These activities showcased the spirit of youth volunteerism—enthusiasm, responsibility, solidarity, and creativity—contributing to a better community life in Son La province.
