Implementing emulation movements and campaigns, all-level VFF committees in the district have actively and effectively carried out Plan No. 01 of the VFF Central Committee on reforming the information and communications work. They have encouraged public involvement in the "solidarity and innovation" and "all people protect national security" movements, and built mass mobilisation models tied to the "all people unite to build new-style rural and civilised urban areas" and "Vietnamese use Vietnamese goods" campaigns.
These initiatives help the district achieve its socio-economic development goals. The committees also advocate for the legitimate rights and interests of the people, participate in anti-corruption efforts, and support the building of a pure and strong Party and administration.
Over the past 10 months, the district VFF Committee has collaborated with various organisations in hosting six conferences aimed at raising public awareness of legal regulations, benefiting nearly 300 residents in Chieng La, Chieng Ngam, Nong Lay, and Ban Lam communes. They supported the removal of 14 temporary houses in the communes of Thom Mon, Nong Lay, Long He, and Tong Co, and distributed 125 gifts worth a total of 50 million VND (1,976 USD) to poor and near-poor households, disadvantaged students, and others.
During the 2024 Lunar New Year festival, the committee mobilised support from individuals and organisations within and outside the district to present gifts to all low-income families. It also raised funds totaling 2.6 billion VND and collected supplies in support of those affected by Typhoons Prapiroon and Yagi.
At the event, the committee commended 50 prestigious individuals who are members of VFF committees at district and commune levels.
