Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on April 24 chaired the first meeting of the 16th-term provincial People’s Committee (2026–2031), reviewing socio-economic development, national defence and security in April, and setting out tasks for May.

The People’s Committee of Son La province and Bach Mai Hospital on April 18 held a conference to strengthen the province’s healthcare capacity and signed an agreement on comprehensive healthcare cooperation for the 2026–2031 period.

The Son La provincial Department of Home Affairs and authorities of Jeonju city in Jeollabuk province, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on April 10 signed an agreement to send seasonal agricultural workers from Son La to the RoK.

Division 326 under Military Region 2 held a conference in Sop Cop commune on April 10 to review Phase 2 and receive volunteers for Phase 3 of the project on strengthening the deployment of young volunteer intellectuals to the Song Ma defence-economic zone for the 2021-2030 period.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on April 7 presided over the contract signing ceremony for the urban renovation project in Sub-zone 1, Yen Chau town and the rural residential area in Vieng Lan commune, Yen Chau district (now Yen Chau commune). The project is implemented by Thang Long 369 Real Estate Exchange JSC.
