The provincial Cybersecurity Subcommittee convened a meeting on July 9 to review its performance during the first half of 2026 and launch tasks for the second half, under the chair of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Van Nghiem, who is head of the subcommittee.

After two days of vibrant competition in the final round, the 2026 provincial contest for outstanding rapporteurs and public communicators closed on July 8 afternoon at Studio S350 of Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television.

Implementing the 500-day campaign to search for, recover, and identify the remains of fallen soldiers, Son La province has completed DNA sample collection from the remains of unidentified martyrs and continues to carry out search and recovery operations. The province is also preparing the necessary conditions to collect DNA samples from the relatives of unidentified martyrs.

The meeting was connected online to 75 communes and wards throughout the province.

Ha Trung Chien, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, on July 6 chaired a meeting with provincial departments and agencies to review the progress of fund disbursement for science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in 2026.

Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, and head of the working group of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on the development of a standard political school, on July 3 chaired a meeting to review the implementation of tasks in the second quarter of 2026 and outline key priorities for the third quarter.

Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council, together with Delegation No. 01 of the council, on July 2 met with voters in To Hieu ward ahead of the second session of the 16th provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.

The provincial Steering Committee for the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Development, Sustainable Poverty Reduction, and Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2026–2035 period, with Phase I spanning 2026–2030, convened a meeting on July 2. The event was chaired by Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, and head of the Steering Committee.

Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television on July 1 held a ceremony to launch its SNEWS brand. Attending the event were Dinh Thi Bich Thao, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and head of the committee’s Board for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, along with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Ngoc Hau on June 29 chaired a working session with relevant departments and agencies to review legal normative documents affected by the restructuring of the state apparatus under the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 190/2025/QH15.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet chaired the June meeting of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the provincial People's Committee to review and provide opinions on several matters under its authority on June 29.

A high-level delegation from Son La province led by Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, on June 28 visited, held talks and signed a cooperation agreement with Laos’ Oudomxay province.

Cha A Cua, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, together with members of Group No. 7 of the provincial People's Council, met with voters in Muong Hung commune on June 26 ahead of the second session of the 16th provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.
