Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on May 11 chaired a meeting to address difficulties facing delayed and long-stalled projects across the province.

The Minh Tam Inclusive Education Development Support Centre on May 10 held a ceremony marking its 10th anniversary, attended by Ha Trung Chien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee.

Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on May 7 inspected the progress of the Hoa Binh–Moc Chau Expressway project, specifically the section passing through the province. He also conducted a field survey of the planned sites for a high-tech agricultural zone at the Tan Yen Industrial Park.

The Son La provincial People’s Committee on May 7 held a conference to review disaster prevention and control, search and rescue efforts in 2025, and launch tasks for 2026. The conference was connected online to People’s Committee offices in communes and wards across the province.

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, head of the Steering Committee for science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06, and head of the provincial Data Steering Committee, on May 6 chaired a conference to review the steering committees’ performance in the first four months of 2026 and launch key tasks for the second quarter. The conference was held both in person and online, connected to commune and ward People’s Committee offices.

Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies, and head of the provincial Steering Committee for Science, Technology Development, Innovation, and Digital Transformation (Steering Committee 2009), on May 5 chaired a meeting to review the steering committee’s April performance and launch key tasks for May.

The Son La provincial Party Committee on May 5 opened a training course on Party affairs, government operations, and Fatherland Front work for grassroots officials, including Party cell secretaries, heads of villages, wards and residential areas, and Fatherland Front board leaders for the 2025–2030 term.

The provincial Party Committee Office on May 4 held a conference to announce a decision by the Party Committee’s Standing Board on personnel arrangement, attended by officials and civil servants from the office and the committee’s Organisation Board.

The provincial People’s Committee held a conference on May 4 to announce the Chairman’s decisions on personnel matters. The event was attended by Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and relevant localities.

Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA), together with a working delegation, on April 29 visited and offered incense at the Temple of King Le Thai Tong in Son La province.

The provincial Party Committee’s Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Board on April 29 held the April press briefing conference on information directions for May.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Van Nghiem on April 29 chaired a meeting of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee to consider and decide on several matters within its authority.

The "traffic safety commune/ward" model in Son La province was launched at a conference on April 29. Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of several departments and agencies, and representatives of communes and wards across the province.

Tran Sy Thanh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the committee’s Inspection Commission, along with a working delegation, on April 28 visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Son La province on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2026) and International Workers’ Day (May 1).

Regiment 754 under the provincial Military Command on April 26 organised a programme for more than 200 new recruits enlisted in 2026 to offer incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Temple at Tay Bac Square, and to visit and study traditions at the Son La Prison special national relic site.

Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, on April 24 chaired the first meeting of the 16th-term provincial People’s Committee (2026–2031), reviewing socio-economic development, national defence and security in April, and setting out tasks for May.

Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 29 of the Party Central Committee's Politburo and  Secretariat, including Nguyen Dung Tien, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Office and deputy head of the delegation, and Le Thi My Hanh, member of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and deputy head of the delegation, held a working session with the Standing Board of the Son La provincial People’s Council and the Party Committee of the provincial People's Commitee on April 24.
