Son La's high-level delegation begins working visit to northern Lao provinces

A high-level delegation of Son La province led by Hoang Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Son La provincial Party Committee and head of the province’s delegation of National Assembly deputies, completed exit procedures at Tay Trang International Border Gate in Dien Bien province on June 25 to begin a working visit to the Lao provinces of Luang Prabang, Bokeo and Oudomxay.

The working visit takes place from June 25 to 28 with a series of important external affairs activities. The Son La delegation is scheduled to hold talks with leaders of the host localities and sign cooperation agreements for the 2026–2029 period, laying the groundwork for expanded collaboration across a wide range of sectors, including economy, trade, agriculture, education, healthcare, culture, tourism, and national defence and security.

The delegation will also visit several socio-economic development models, cultural and tourism facilities, and projects supported by Son La province. In addition, they will take part in friendship exchange activities and meet with leaders and residents of the Lao localities.
