Traditional Bunpimay New Year programme held for Lao students

In a warm and festive atmosphere, delegates and Lao students revisited the traditions of the Bunpimay New Year festival; performed songs and dances rich in Lao cultural identity, praising the solidarity, close ties, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and Laos; and took part in traditional rituals such as wrist-tying and water-splashing.

Earlier, the school organised a range of activities to celebrate the traditional Bunpimay festival for Lao students, including launching environmental sanitation campaigns; building green, clean, beautiful, civilized and safe dormitories; and holding sports competitions, cultural exchanges and games.
