Launched on October 15, the award aims to promote tourist destinations, lodging facilities and tourism service providers in Son La, while offering an opportunity for them to position their brands and products. It is expected to contribute to improving the quality of tourism products and services in the province.

The award attracted the participation of 65 units, tourist destinations, hotels and restaurants in Son La, which competed in the categories of outstanding tourist areas and sites, outstanding hotels and outstanding lodging facilities.

The voting was carried out online from October 15 to December 15, luring more than 1 million followers, of whom nearly 650,000 joined the voting, which was based on the quality of products and services; service prices; customer service attitude; hygiene; and safety for tourists.  

The jury said many facilities have offered unique and attractive tourism products, and quality and professional services.

The high-end resort and entertainment area, nestled in the pine forest of Ang hamlet, Dong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, was recognised as the outstanding tourist area. The Dai Yem waterfall eco-tourism resort in Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, was honoured as the outstanding tourist site. The Muong Thanh Son La Hotel won the category of outstanding 4-5 star hotel.

There were also two prizes for outstanding 2-3 star hotels, three for outstanding accommodation establishments, and three for outstanding restaurants./.
