Runners competed in men's and women's categories over a distance of 4.5 km. The race route started at Huoi Cheo hamlet stadium, followed small trails along the mountainsides, through forests and local fields, and finished at the moss-harvesting competition site in Pa Hop hamlet.

The race took place in the early morning mist, posing many challenges and requiring runners to have endurance, agility, and the ability to adapt to the distinctive highland terrain. The athletes compete with great determination, striving to complete the distance in the shortest time possible.

Concluding the race, the Organising Committee awarded two first, two second, two third, and two consolation prizes to the winning male and female runners.
