This year's festival will feature many activities, such as announcing the exclusive protection certificate for the festival; granting the certification of the largest hawthorn flower forest in the country; displaying agricultural products, culture, and products under the One Commune Once Product (OCOP) programme; a community culinary competition; displaying beautiful photos of culture and tourism in the Northwest region; and folk games.

Muong La district will organise the Son tra (Hawthorn) Flower Festival 2024 from March 9-10 at many locations in Ngoc Chien commune.

In particular, there will be a paragliding performance along with many activities to experience the unique culture of the Mong ethnic people in Nam Nghep hamlet, Ngoc Chien commune.
