The three-day event will feature a range of activities, including an incense-offering ceremony at the Linh Son - Thuy Tu and Nang Han temples within the Quynh Nhai district Cultural and Spiritual Tourism Area. The ceremony is a way to express gratitude to the river and mountain deities, honour female general Nang Han, and pray for a prosperous new year, peace, and stability.
A highlight of the event will be the opening ceremony on the evening of February 7, with a special art programme themed "Quynh Nhai - Shining Heritage Region." Additionally, there will be a traditional boat racing festival that is expected to bring together teams from 11 communes in the district, as well as districts inside and outside the province that share the tradition of boat racing, such as Muong Lay township (Dien Bien province), and Nam Nhun and Than Uyen districts (Lai Chau province).
Side activities will include a photo exhibition showcasing Quynh Nhai tourism potential, a competition on displaying Tet offerings, a contest to introduce the cultural traits of local ethnic groups, a red silk-cotton flower festival, a fashion show featuring traditional ethnic costumes, traditional sports like tug-of-war, stick pushing, and stilt walking, Pickleball and badminton tournaments, and a singing contest.
Visitors will have the chance to engage in folk games, and explore scenic spots, as well as cultural and spiritual tourism sites in the district.
